Company & Project News (December 2013)

 

In 2013 we hit an all-time high of 8.5m turnover. The educational sector in particular has been very buoyant and due to our expertise, proficiency and reputation in this field, we have been able to secure a considerable amount of projects in schools, colleges and universities throughout the North East.

 

In December we finished and handed back the Chemistry Labatories & Testing Facility to Durham University, following a 500K upgrade and extensions. The work involved the construction of a Blast Room to enable the university to carry out futher research & experiments.

 

Just before Christmas we completed the works to St Cuthberts Hospice in Durham following a 3 month & 160K refurbishment scheme.

 

We commence works on a 120K refubishment project at the Bedson Building for Newcastle University.

 

Project News (November 2013)

 

In November we completed the works on the first phase of the Armstriong Building and commenced works on Merz Court. Both refurbishment projects were for Newcastlke University.

We also commence works on a classroom extensions and alterations project at St Mary's Magdalen RC Primary School in Sunderland and a 80K alterations project at Newton Aycliffe Fire Station for County Durham & Darllington Fire & Rescue Service.

 

We also completed the 350K 2nd Phase of Rowan House for Durham University & commenced an alterations project on the Energy Academy in Wallsend for Newcastle College.

Project News (October 2013)

 

In October we complete the 350K disabled adaptations and renovations to a dwelling in Cramlington. The scheme is one of many personal injury adapation projects that we have been involved in over the years and have extensiove experience in this specialist field.

 

We also completed a 170K refurbishment scheme at Citreon Croxdale and the 350K refurbishment & alterations at the Horden Centennial Centre.

 

In October we commenced a project to renovate and construct new WCs within the Ancient Monument of Richmond Castle. 

Project News (September 2013)

 

During September we complete a whole series of projects ready for the new academic year commencing. These included:

  • A 750K kitchen refurbishment project at St Aidan's College for Durham University.

  • A 500K alterations & refurbishment of the Pharmacy Department at Stockton for Durham University.

  • A 110K refurbishment of the Pathology Labs for Durham University.

  • A 140K refurbishment of Blaidwood House for Durham University.

We also commence a 160K alterations scheme at St Cuthbert's Hospice in Durham, alterations at Middlesbrough Golf Club and the first phase works at the Armstrong Buiulding at Newcastle University.

 

Project News (August 2013)

 

At the end of August we sucessfully completed the works at St Leonard's in Durham and at  Sunnyside Primary School in Middlesbrough in time for the pupils to return to School after their summer break. We also completed the 100K window replacement project at the Bailey House Student Accomodation in Durham.

 

We also commence a 170K scheme at Citreon Croxdale and several framework projects for Newcastle University, including emergency response works.

 

 

Project News (July 2013)

 

During July we commenced works on a 540K disabled adaptations project in York, a 750K kitchen refurbishment project at St Aidan's College ifor Durham University, a 460K extensions and refurbishment of the Chemistry Labs for Durham University, a 170K door & window project at Sunnyside Primary School in Middlesbrough for Middlesbrough Council, a 110K refurbishment of the Bioscinces Labs for Durham University, a 60K alterations and external works at St Leonard's in Durham and a 100K window replacement project at Bailey House for Durham University.

 

In July we completed the works at St Hilda's historic church in Hartlepool.

Project News (June 2013)

 

In June we were appointed as the number one building contractor for Newcastle University. The 4 year framework contract gives us first refusal on their projecs valued at 500K or below. Upon being sucessful we were appointed to carry out our first projct, a 100K refurbishment of Cyrstallography Labs in the Bedson Building.

 

During June we commenced works on the 150K refurbishment of Blaidwood House for Durham University & commenced works on the 380K refurbishment of the Horden Centennial Centre.

 

We also complete the 160K refurbishment of 25 Flats at Leases Parade for Newcastle University.

 

Project News (May 2013)

 

During May we commenced works on the 350K 2nd Phase at Rowan House for Durham University.

 

In May we completed works on the Old Low Light Lighthouse in North Shields.

 

 

Project News (April 2013)

 

During March we completed the 1.5M refurbishment of the Music School at 48-50 North Bailey for Durham University, the 80K extensions & alterations at Middleton Fire Station, the 125K refurbishment works to High Tech Village in Bouldon for South Tyneside Council, the 100K alterations at Caldicotes Primary School for Middlesbrough Council and the 90K Exterrnal Refurbishment of Fountains Hall for Durham University.

We also commenced works on a Disabaled Adaptations in Cramlington (350K), a 500K alterations & refurbishment of the Pharmacy Department at Stockton for Durham University, the the 160K refurbishment of stiudent accomodation at Leazes Parade (right) for Newcastle University & the Alterations at the historic St Hilda's Church (far right) in Hartlepool.

 

 

Project News (March 2013)

 

During March we completed the 2nd and final phase of the works to the reatining wall at Moot Hall in Newcastle for HMCS.

We also completed the 400K alterations and extensions project at Heighinginton Primary School, the 40K alterations to Monkton Stadium for Sth Tyneside Council, the 60K alterations to Spennymoor Health Centre for the NHS and Phase 1 (160K) works to Rowan House for Durham University.                     

 

Company & Project News (February 2013)

 

In February we achieved SafeContractor accreditation and commenced work on the following schemes:

  • Phase 1 - Enabling Works - Rowan House in Durham for Durham University (160K)

  • An Entension and Alterations to Middleton in Teesdale Fire Station for County Durham & Darllington Fire & Rescue Service (80K)

  • Refurbishment of Offices & Factories at High Tech Village in Boldon for Soth Tyneside Council (125K)

  • Refurbishment & DDA Alterations to Monkton Stadium in Jarrow for South Tyneside Council (40K)

  • Window Replacement & External Refurnishment of Fountains Hall, Greys College for Durham University (90K)

  • Alterations to Spennymoor Health Centre for the NHS (60K)

We also completed works on renewing over 600 windows (420K) in Collingwood College in Durham for Durham University. The project was completed on time and very sucessfully despite the works being undertaken during term time and most of the windows were in student bedroom. On the back of this works we negotiated a further scheme to renew further windows within the same college.

 

 

Company & Project News (January 2013)

 

We again sucessfully renewed our CHAS (SSIP) accreditation.

 

During January we commenced work on the following schemes:

  • Internal Alterations project at Caldicotes Primary School in Middlesbrough for Middlesbrough Council (100K)
